Embed your 'External tests' within your website

We have recently added 'iFrame' HTML code to your Group preferences page to allow you to easily embed your 'External testing' tests directly into your own websites.

This effectively allows you to completely hide both the www.classmarker.com link and any ClassMarker branding from your test takers.

All External testing functionality including, saving users results and details, password protecting tests and access lists all continue to work exactly the same when a test is embedded within your website.

Add Square root symbol

The new Square root button now allows you to add square root text to your questions and answers.

Example: x = √60 + 4

Manually set 'In progress' tests as 'Finished'

If you have a test that is 'In progress' and you want to set it as 'Finished' (because you know the test taker will not be continuing the test any further), you can now do this and have the final score calculated from the questions that have been attempted.

Select the 'In progress' link and follow the 'Set as Finished' instructions.

New 'Random questions' option available

An extra option is now available that allows you to choose how many random questions 'per category' will be added to a test.

You can find these settings under the 'View options' link on your test pages.

View class tests that are 'In progress'

You can now view tests results in your classes for tests that are currently marked as 'In progress'. Tests are marked as in progress if a learner is currently taking the test, or has saved the test to finish at a later date.

If you wish to allow a learner to re-start a test before they have finished it, you can view the results from the 'In progress' link on the Class results page, then delete the test results, thus allow the learner to restart the test.

New External testing setting

Previously, External testing tests (that are set to save results) could only be taken once per sitting, unless an Access list was applied.

You can now choose to allow External testing tests to be taken 'Once only' or 'Multiple times' in one sitting. This allows your test takers to attempt your tests more then once if you allow this.

The default setting is 'Once only'.

This new setting is found in your groups 'Assign test' settings.

Ordering of questions within Statistics

When viewing questions (within tests from the statistics pages), you will notice the questions are now ordering exactly as they are ordered within their tests.

Previously they where ordering the same as their position from within your question bank.

BBCode Now Available!!!

Do these buttons looks familar?

That's Right, ClassMarker now has BBCode available!!

This means you can now, Bold, italic, underlined, line through,
subscript x₂, superscript x², and color your questions and answers text.

Not only that, but you can also embed multiple images or YouTube videos with your questions and answers.

And lets not forget you can also link to external websites and reference materials like presentations and documents, directly from your questions.

Please note: We have tested and tested these new features and ironed out all the bugs, however, if you do see any problems, do let us know via the Contact us link found at the bottom of every page so we can promptly correct any issues we haven't noticed.

Please also note: These new features are free to use and as such we do not have control over advertising that Google[TM] may display within YouTube[TM] videos, so please use YouTube embedding with this in mind.

And lastly, you do not need to use BBCode if you do not want to. You can continue to use standard text questions as before.
