Customer feedback = better customer experience.

ClassMarker offers you the ability to online create surveys. Surveys are a great way to reach and engage with your target customers in just a few clicks. Here are some of the main benefits:

  • Cost: Surveys are a cost-effective way to gather customer data. This means even small businesses can conduct comprehensive research without breaking the bank.
  • Real-time data: The moment a respondent submits their answers, the data is ready for analysis, drastically reducing the time to action insights.
  • Convenience: Respondents can complete the survey at their leisure, leading to potentially higher response rates.
  • Customization: ClassMarker offers different customization options, from branding elements to different question types. This flexibility allows you to tailor your survey to your specific needs and objectives, whether it's customer feedback, employee satisfaction, or market research.
  • Honest responses: Respondents are more likely to provide candid feedback when they know their responses are anonymous.

How to make online surveys with ClassMarker

Step 1: Identify survey goals

First, determine what information you're seeking. Surveys can be used for various purposes like customer feedback, product assessment, marketing research, etc. Your survey's goal will guide the type of questions you include. For example, Stephania's main objective is to gauge customer satisfaction regarding food quality, service and overall experience.

Pro tips
If you're seeking unbiased feedback, consider making your survey anonymous. In ClassMarker, you can opt not to record personal data like names or email addresses.

Step 2: Create your survey and add questions

Create a ClassMarker test as you normally would. If you want to create a survey question simply toggle the switch at the top of the question editor to create survey questions.

Most surveys utilize multiple-choice questions for simplicity and ease of analysis. However, for more detailed feedback, consider including open-ended questions. ClassMarker supports both types, allowing you to blend multiple-choice and essay questions effectively. Other things to consider:

Step 3: Assign the survey

Since this is a survey, select the option to “Send a Link”. You can share your survey link via email, social media, or on your website.

Step 4: Setting up survey settings

  • After you have named your link, go to the Test 'settings' page.
  • Under Test Introduction, go to User Info. Here you can uncheck the boxes beside first name, last name, email address, for the information you do not want to record. This ensures that the survey information is anonymous if you require.
  • Extra Information: If needed, you can add additional questions for demographic data or other specifics not included in the main survey. For example, you can also add 'extra information' questions such as "what location did you visit?".

Step 5: Analyzing Responses

Stephania exports survey responses for management review. There are two ways to export your results data to ExcelTM:

  • Via the Links Export page: Select the link to export and the date range for your link.
  • Export via the Results section of your test: Choose the option to “Export Test scores and selected answers” to include all the answers.

Additional Tips

  • Keep It Short and Sweet: Considering that customers are inundated with numerous communications each day, it is essential that your survey remains concise to increase the likelihood of receiving responses.
  • Pilot Testing: Before launching the survey to all customers, you might want to test it with a small group for feedback.
  • Incentive Clarity: It’s usually good practice to offer some sort of incentive for answering surveys. Ensure the terms of the incentive are clear to avoid any customer confusion or dissatisfaction.
